RRTC's Business Marketing and Information Technology and Graphic Design and Digital Marketing students recently held a sock for a local nursing home. Today, they delivered those socks the the nursing home.









RRTC’s Residential Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning/Refrigeration students competed last week in the Regional SkillsUSA competition. The students that competed were Caleb Ramsey, Ayden Hinds, Blayden Carpenter, Bryana McKinney, and Paeton Dial. Ayden Hinds placed 1st and Paeton Dial placed 6th in the post-secondary competition. Ayden Hinds will advance to the State SkillsUSA competition in April. Congratulations, students.


RRTC’s Computer-Aided Drafting students competed last week in the Regional SkillsUSA Competition. Jason Burton placed 1st in post-secondary-technical and Kenzie Hankins placed 2nd in post-secondary-architecture. McCormick Truelock placed 3rd in high school-architecture and Chandler Pendley placed 4th in high school-technical. These students will advance to the State SkillsUSA competition in April. Congratulations, students!




Congratulation to Jon Giles for receiving the Harris Top Torch welding award at SkillsUSA State Leadership Conference 2024.

Red River Technology Center hosted SkillsUSA Regional welding fabrication competition last week. The welding fabrication competition consists of teams of three students. Only 1st place winners advance to the SkillsUSA State Competition in April. High school 1st place winners from RRTC are Zachary Lipscomb, Branson Bailey, and Chase Kaspereit. High School 3rd place winners from RRTC are Leland Parker, Jacob Bench, and Draegon Heddleston. RRTC would like to thank the judges Brian Blevins, Cimarron Trailers; Jimmy Jenkins, Energy Transfer; Jason Benton,NOV Wilco; and Joe Valenzuela, Jr., Cimarron Trailers. We appreciate the time and effort of all the judges, timekeepers, and support members assisting with the administration of the SkillsUSA contest.



RRTC's welding students, Cheyenne Luttrell and William Watson competed in the Welding Job Readiness competition last week at Canadian Valley Technology Center (El Reno Campus). Cheyenne placed first and William placed second in the competition. Both student will be attending the SkillsUSA State Leadership competition in April. Congratulations, students!



Red River Technology Center hosted SkillsUSA Regional welding competition last week. RRTC students that placed in high school welding, 1st place-Cole Linzman, 2nd place-Kamdyn Whetstone, 3rd place-Daniel Hudson, and 4th place-Payton Jones. There were 16 contestants in this category. First-third place in the high school division will advance to the SkillsUSA State Competition in April. First year winners(region only-will not advance to state) 2nd place-Grayson Brooksher, 4th place-Cooper Majure, 5th place-Jase Hancock, 6th place-Noah Hudson. Post-Secondary winner in welding for RRTC was Kristopher Ross. Congratulations to the winners! RRTC Business and Information Technology students held a contest to make a free-standing structure. Each group had 18 minutes to build their structure with 20 pieces of spaghetti, 1 yard of string, 1 yard of masking tape, and 1 marshmallow that had to be on the top. They had to draw diagrams and test them to see which one would be successful.

RRTC Cosmetology students Kylie Barrington, Vanessa Guzman, and Katharine Hill had their first clients this week.



RRTC Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning students toured Duncan Regional Hospital’s environmental facilities. The tour included exploring four Centrifugal Compressor Chiller Systems, the Boiler Systems ( these systems provide both the air conditioning and heating to the offices and patient rooms). They looked at all the refrigeration in the kitchen for the hospital, the backup generators for when the electricity goes down, and the fire detection systems and how they integrate into the ductwork systems. Thanks Duncan Regional Hospital for the tour!
