
RRTC's BMITE students were in charge of the Veteran's Day assembly this year. We would like to thank those students and their instructors, Holly Kelly and Sarah Lemons, for planning this assembly. RRTC had 141 prospective students participate in Job Shadow Day this week. This event is a hands-on, immersive experience designed for students to explore career paths and to make an informed decision when applying to an RRTC program. Check with your school counselor for applications.







Mike Kirk and John Shirley with Johnson Controls were guest speakers in the RRTC Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning program. RRTC appreciates these men for taking time out of their busy schedules to share their knowledge with our students.

RRTC welding students are completing a pipeline welding simulation. They have to learn how to fit pipe together, weld it out using 6010, as well as use a blueprint to learn how to layout various holes on various degrees using basic tools.




The Duncan Rotary Club presented four scholarships to RRTC students last week. Craig Taliaferro and Dr. Dakota Kaus, Duncan Rotary Club scholarship committee members are pictured with the recipients. Landyn Wade, practical nursing student, received $1000 scholarship. Emergency Medical Services students Anabah Werito, Brooklyn Donnelly, and Faith Faleel received $500 scholarship each. RRTC would like to thank the Rotary Club for investing in the futures of our students. Congratulations students!



RRTC Blood Drive!



RRTC had 45 students attend SkillsUSA Fall Leadership Conference in Chickasha this week. Several students received their Statesman award. The SkillsUSA Statesman Award is presented to members who demonstrate SkillsUSA knowledge and civic awareness, along with an understanding of the SkillsUSA Framework and how to articulate their personal experience in career and technical education.








RRTC Emergency Medical Services students have been working on spinal immobilization this week.


The Practical Nursing class and Health Careers students hosted a trunk or treat on the Red River Technology Center campus on Saturday. The school resource officer provided corn hole for the trick or treaters. The turnout was amazing!

RRTC practical nursing students participated in a pumpkin carving contest. The pumpkins were displayed in the Health Careers auditorium for all the students and staff to vote for the best pumpkin. The winning pumpkin is the mom pumpkin in labor. The other pumpkins tied for second. Great job ladies! Thanks everyone for voting.








The Biomedical Science Academy students participated in the Trunk or Treat at Catalyst Nutrition and Fitness on Saturday.


RRTC Biomedical Science Academy HOSA students volunteered at the Fall Back on Safety event held at the Simmons Center. The event was sponsored by the Pathways to Healthier Youth Coalition through Duncan Regional Hospital. The students led a session on Trick or Treat safety.


RRTC post-secondary students attended SkillsUSA Fall Leadership conference in Guthrie last week.

RRTC Graphic Design and Digital Marketing students and Business and Information Technology students touring the Oklahoma CareerTech Printing Plant and Oklahoma State University last week.







This year RRTC celebrates 50 years of Practical Nursing graduates. A reception was held on Saturday, October 26, in the Delbert Morrison Health Careers Auditorium. Many previous directors, instructors, and students attended and reminisced and talked about how things have changed throughout the years.

RRTC 's practical nursing students were training Comanche High School and Central High School juniors in CPR and Stop the Bleed today. These trainings fulfill a graduation requirement for the students.










RRTC Lions Club students of the month for October are Addison Herring,Velma-Alma High School senior and Aiden Miller, Hope Academy senior. Both students are in the Health Careers II program at RRTC. Congratulations, Addison and Aiden!
