RRTC recently welcomed approximately 630 8th grade students from across the district for an engaging and educational Career Expo. During the event, students had the opportunity to tour each of RRTC’s programs and explore various career paths.
In addition to the hands-on tours, students also heard from several industry guest speakers who shared valuable insights about their professions. Special thanks to our guest speakers:

Students in the Construction Technology program at Red River Technology Center (RRTC) are getting hands-on experience through an exciting masonry project. Under the guidance of their instructor, these future trades professionals are developing key skills in bricklaying, mortar mixing, and wall construction — foundational techniques in the construction industry.
This project not only strengthens their technical knowledge but also emphasizes the importance of precision, teamwork, and safety on the job site. It’s a prime example of how RRTC blends classroom learning with real-world application to prepare students for success in the skilled trades.

Sixteen of RRTC’s Pre-Engineering students competed in the TSA RIVERSPORT OKC event on Sept. 17, designing and racing cardboard canoes using only cardboard and duct tape. All three teams stayed afloat and placed 2nd, 3rd, and 4th in their heat—no sinkings!
They joined 88 teams from across Oklahoma for a day full of STEM fun, including rock climbing, kayaking, surfing, and more. Great job, students!

Anatomy and Physiology students in Mrs. Johnston’s Biomed class trying to maintain homeostasis. Homeostasis is the process by which living organisms maintain a stable internal environment despite changes in the external environment. It involves regulating variables like body temperature, pH, and nutrient concentrations to ensure optimal functioning. Essentially, it's the ability of an organism to maintain a stable internal equilibrium.
