RRTC’s Cosmetology students attended SkillsUSA state competition recently. Dannial Crispin placed first in Barbering. Kamrie Channel placed 2nd in Nail Care. Job Exhibit winners were Jillian Evans, 1st place-Short Hair Design, Kylie Barrington, 1st place-Acrylic Nails, and Avery Throckmorton, 2nd place-Long Hair Design. Dannial will be attending SkillsUSA National competition in June in Atlanta, GA. Congratulations students!

Your support—whether through the donation of time, personnel, equipment, or expertise—played a vital role in creating an immersive and meaningful learning experience for our students. Without your willingness to go above and beyond, this hands-on training event would not have been possible.
The commitment demonstrated by your teams to emergency preparedness and community service is nothing short of inspiring. It is a testament to the strength and dedication of the emergency services in our region, and we are proud to collaborate with such outstanding professionals.
We are especially grateful for your effort and coordination that went into planning and executing this event. Your involvement provided our students with a realistic and engaging scenario that helped them build critical skills and confidence they will carry with them into their careers.
We are already looking forward to next year's event, tentatively scheduled for April 22, 2026, and hope to work alongside you again to make it another outstanding success.

The RRTC senior capstones are a semester long project involving skills learned throughout the two-year Biomedical program. RRTC’s Pre-Engineering Academy recently attended the Technology Student Association (TSA) state competition. Conner King, Kasen Beck, Liam Wilson placed 3rd in Catapult Design, Liam Wilson placed 7th in CAD Architecture, Connor King placed 8th in Flight Endurance and Carter Mitchell and Hollister Pollock placed 8th in Senior Solar Sprint. RRTC’s BMITE and Graphic Design students recently attended Pro Sports Career Day hosted by the Oklahoma City Thunder. Executive staff of the Thunder gave their experience in the Sports industry ranging from what they do now and how they got there. Students were able to participate in breakout sessions with Thunder employees from all different aspects of the organization.

Fort Sill contractors from PCSI, John Hale, D.J. Lunsford, and Tiffany Velasquez, visited with the HVAC class about future career opportunities at Ft. Sill in the Commercial Heating and Air conditioning field. The group will also be at the Job Fair hosted by RRTC this Thursday, April 24, 2025. The Job Fair is open to the entire community.

🚨 Public Announcement: Emergency Simulation at Red River Technology Center 🚑
On April 23, 2025, the Red River Technology Center (RRTC) will be hosting a collaborative EMS and Nursing simulation designed to train emergency responders and healthcare professionals. Please be aware that during this event, you may see emergency vehicles and hear sirens around the RRTC campus as EMT students simulate a high-stakes vehicle crash scenario.
What’s Happening:
• EMT students will be responding to a simulated crash in the parking lot, with fire and police departments arriving to assist.
• The scenario will include the transportation of patients to a simulated Emergency Department, where nursing students will take over patient care.
• This is a training exercise only and there is no real emergency.
We ask that the public not be alarmed by the presence of emergency personnel. This simulation is an important part of preparing our future emergency responders for real-world situations and improving coordination between departments.

RRTC’s Pre-Engineering Academy students helped run the Panning for Gold activity for the third grade classes at Duncan’s Frontier Days at the Chisholm Trail Heritage Museum. Everyone at a great time despite the rainy weather!

What an amazing opportunity for the RRTC Automotive Service Technology students, Lynn and Conner McKenzie brought their Pontiac G6 race car for a demonstration. Getting the chance to hear a 632 cubic inch big block Chevy engine in person was thrilling for everyone involved!
The drag racing practice tree was a fun way for students to get a feel for how timing works in real drag racing scenarios. It was a real eye-opener to see the technology behind the sport and to get an inside look at what it takes to maintain a race car from the perspective of a professional.
Also, with Lynn’s background as the owner of Lynn McKenzie Automotive in Lawton, it was inspiring for the students to learn from someone with such hands-on experience in both racing and automotive repair.
Congratulations to former RRTC Precision Machining graduate and current substitute instructor, Connor Perkins and his team for winning the 2025 Collegiate Clay Target Championship for Murray State College. They are Division IV National Champions.
