RRTC Business and Information Technology students held a contest to make a free-standing structure. Each group had 18 minutes to build their structure with 20 pieces of spaghetti, 1 yard of string, 1 yard of masking tape, and 1 marshmallow that had to be on the top. They had to draw diagrams and test them to see which one would be successful.




RRTC Cosmetology students Kylie Barrington, Vanessa Guzman, and Katharine Hill had their first clients this week.



RRTC Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning students toured Duncan Regional Hospital’s environmental facilities. The tour included exploring four Centrifugal Compressor Chiller Systems, the Boiler Systems ( these systems provide both the air conditioning and heating to the offices and patient rooms). They looked at all the refrigeration in the kitchen for the hospital, the backup generators for when the electricity goes down, and the fire detection systems and how they integrate into the ductwork systems. Thanks Duncan Regional Hospital for the tour!

DRH Health is thrilled to have partnered with Red River Technology Center to host business student Josselynn Smith for her On-the-Job Training (OJT) with our DRH Business Center Team. During her time with us, Josselynn applied the skills she learned in class with her instructor, Mrs. Holly Kelly.
The best part? Josselynn will soon become an official member of the DRH Health team and begin her career in the Business Center!
