More Halloween fun at RRTC!

RRTC had some interesting characters at school today!

RRTC had 37 students and 3 advisors attend SkillsUSA Fall Leadership Conference in Chickasha this week. Several students received their Statesman award. The SkillsUSA Statesman Award is presented to members who demonstrate SkillsUSA knowledge and civic awareness, along with an understanding of the SkillsUSA Framework and how to articulate their personal experience in career and technical education. Fall Leadership Conferences support the SkillsUSA mission by educating and engaging members with SkillsUSA knowledge, activities and breakout sessions that support continued growth in the 17 Essential Elements, and providing students and advisors the opportunity to engage with other members.

RRTC's Biomedical Science Academy students volunteered at The Pathways Coalition's annual 4th grade safety event on October 15, 2025 at the Stephens County Fair Grounds. Our students served as group tour guides and presented information on Halloween safety to over 350 area fourth graders.

RRTC students attended HOSA, Future Health Professionals, Fall Leadership conference in Norman. Students were able to meet fellow HOSA members, decide the next state officer team, attend informative breakout sessions, and learn about new HOSA updates.

Bring your donations to Red River Technology Center now through December 5 to support Holiday in the Halls. Your generosity will help make this event special for local families in our community! Let’s come together and spread some holiday cheer!

RRTC Graphic Design & Digital Marketing student, Isabel Hill, is in the studio, capturing some stunning product shots! Hands-on learning = real-world skills.

Future Scientists at Work! Our Biomedical Science Academy seniors at RRTC are diving into the microscopic world—viewing their own healthy cheek and skin cells under the microscope and comparing them to cancerous cells. This hands-on lab experience brings science to life, helping students explore the real cellular differences between normal and cancerous tissue. The future of biomedical research is in great hands!

Red River Technology Center recently hosted a Beginner Drone Operations class — and that’s just the beginning. Explore all of our short-term classes at rrtc.edu and level up your future today!

RRTC’s Graphic Design & Digital Marketing program recently welcomed guest speaker Eric Lemons, a part-time photographer and full-time oil field professional. We appreciate Eric taking time from his busy schedule to share real-world insights and inspire our students with his creative journey!

RRTC’s bricklayers in Construction Technology are moving forward with more complex tasks. Decorative soldier details and arches are appearing as students see some of the beautiful and enduring structures that can be made with the simple brick.

RRTC's Technology Student Association (TSA) Officers for 2025-26 are: President-Bradean Gower, Vice President-Tessa Spivey, Secretary-Carter Mitchell, Treasurer-Ava Foraker, and Reporter-Hayden Harget. These students are in the morning Pre-Engineering Academy. The afternoon officers are President-Harley Nottingham-Shipman, Vice President-Morgan Thomas, and Secretary-Hailie Jones. These

RRTC CNC Machining student, Marley McRae, is hard at work machining small parts — a task that takes patience, focus, and a whole lot of precision.

Red River Technology Center recently hosted the Tri-County Superintendents meeting and gave our guests a behind-the-scenes tour of our new Construction Technology Program. We're excited to showcase the hands-on learning and career opportunities our students are building every day!
RRTC’s Biomedical Science Academy afternoon seniors just broke down hydrogen peroxide (yeah, the bubbly stuff) and figured out how much energy it gives off when it decomposes. Spoiler: it’s a lot — about 98 kJ per mole! They used real lab data + some chemistry magic to calculate the enthalpy change and see just how exothermic this reaction really is.

This week, we had the pleasure of welcoming Dr. Shane Hunt, the new President of Cameron University, along with Kyle Jarman Interim Director from the Cameron-Duncan campus, for a tour of the RRTC campus.
They expressed great interest in learning more about our programs and exploring opportunities for future collaboration. We’re excited about the potential for partnership and look forward to working together to create new pathways for student success!

Big News from RRTC HVAC!
Our students just installed their FIRST A2L refrigerant air conditioner— a huge step toward the future of HVAC technology! A2L systems are more environmentally friendly and are becoming the new industry standard — not all schools have A2L equipment to work on. Proud to say RRTC is ahead of the curve.

RRTC’s welding students had the honor of hosting guest speaker Ty Hobbs, a 2016 graduate of the RRTC welding program. Ty is currently employed by Union Pipe Welders 798 Pipeline and is also the proud owner of Top Gun Welding and Construction, LLC, based in Alvord, TX.
