The Duncan Noon Lion’s Club has named Red River Technology Center Health Careers Certification student Brooklyn Sullivan and Biomedical Science Academy student Ty Scott as Students of the Month for November.
Brooklyn Sullivan, a senior at Velma-Alma High School, is active in track, BETA Club, National Technical Honor Society, and serving as a teacher’s aide. She is also active in HOSA-Future Health Professionals, where she serves as an officer.
In the community, Sullivan has volunteered her time with the BETA Day of Caring, the Comet Clothes Closet, the BETA Pink Out, Halloween Trunk or Treat, the Toy Drive, and the Food Bank.
After graduation, Sullivan plans to attend nursing school at Southwestern Oklahoma State University and become a travelling nurse or possibly a nurse practitioner.
Ty Scott, a senior at Marlow High School, is active in football, wrestling and golf. He’s also a member of the National Honor Society and participates in school safety meetings.
In the community, Scott volunteered his time doing random acts of kindness for two hours a day, one day a month through student council. He’s volunteered with the tree painting in Marlow, the Marlow Ag Labor Auction, and has also completed volunteer work through his church.
After graduation, Scott plans to attend Ole Miss University and focus on pre-dental. He then plans to attend dental school and eventually move back to Marlow to take over his parents’ dental practice.
