BPA Students Place at State Contest

Four Business students recently placed at the Business Professionals of America (BPA) State Contest. Placing were:

Destyni Batch (Post-Secondary): 1st in Fundamental Word Processing (qualifies for Nationals); 2nd in Basic Office Systems & Procedures; and 3rd in Business Meeting Management Concepts.

Kaytlyn Williams (Secondary): 6th in Basic Office Systems & Procedures.

Chloe Blevins (Post-Secondary): 1st in Advanced Office Systems & Procedures (qualifies for Nationals); 4th in College Accounting; 4th in Management, Marketing & Human Resource Concepts; and 6th in Business Meeting Management Concepts.

Liberty Hesbrook (Secondary): 1st in Advanced Word Processing (qualifies for Nationals); and 7th in Advanced Spreadsheet Applications.

Otha  Grimes Scholarship Recipients

Otha Grimes Scholarship Recipients

Five Red River Technology Center Practical Nursing students were awarded the Spring 2021 Otha Grimes Scholarship by the Oklahoma Foundation for Career and Technology Education. The scholarships, which vary in amount, are awarded twice a year in the fall and spring. Receiving the scholarships were Emily Telles, $500.00; Jayla Hale, $400.00; Hailee Wheatley, $400.00; Laura Scifres, $500.00; and Jayden Barbe, $500.
