Lion’s Club names Students of the Month at RRTC for February


The Duncan Noon Lion’s Club has named Red River Technology Center Biomedical Science Academy student Haleigh Bradley and Residential Heating and Air Conditioning student Roper Swanson as Students of the Month for February.


Haleigh Bradley, a Central High School senior, is active in cheerleading, book club, academic team, student council, and FCCLA. She has also served as her class reporter for two years.


In the community, Bradley has volunteered her time as a teen volunteer at Duncan Regional Hospital for four years. She has also volunteered at the Stephens County Humane Society, Beautiful Day, and at Kindred Community dinners.


After graduation, Bradley plans to attend college to become an anesthesiologist. She also hopes to work in research to find a cure for post-traumatic stress disorder.


Roper Swanson, a senior at Empire High School, is active in student council, FFA, baseball and National Honor Society. At RRTC, he has been active in the SkillsUSA student organization and is a member of the National Technical Honor Society.


In the community, Swanson has volunteered his time at the Fall Classic Pig Sale, the Kiwanis Tree Lot, the Duncan Swap Meet, and with the Delta Headstart Toy Drive.


After graduation, Swanson plans to attend the OSU Institute of Technology in Okmulgee to further his education in the heating and air conditioning field.
