Students awarded Cameron and Woodward Scholarships

Several Red River Technology Center students were awarded scholarships during the annual awards assembly held on  Thursday, May 4.

Receiving the Cameron University Tuition Waiver Scholarship, worth $1,000.00, were Pre-Engineering Academy student Connor Gill and Biomedical Science Academy student Crystal Beck.

Students who placed in the top six in their respective competitions at the State SkillsUSA contest were awarded the Woodward Scholarship. Scholarship amounts vary based on how each student placed. First place received $400.00; second place received $300.00; and third place received $200.00. Students receiving the scholarship were: Shane Thacker, Carpentry, $200.00; Nick Ellsworth, Carpentry, $300.00; Ethan Tucker, Residential Heating and Air Conditioning, $400.00; Luke Davis, Welding, $400.00; Tyler Fennell, Welding, $400.00; Joseph Reeves, Welding, $400.00; and   Jon Shufeldt, Welding, $400.00.
