Nursing Students Awarded Scholarships

Nine Red River Technology Center Practical Nursing students were recently awarded scholarships by four Duncan PEO (Philanthropic Education Organization) chapters. The scholarships will be used to pay for the students’ fees and application to take the NCLEX, the state board licensing exam, as well as for a pre-exam review course. The value of the scholarships comes to $519.00 for each student.

The four Duncan PEO chapters presenting the scholarships, and their representatives, were: Emily DeHart, Chapter EE; Nancy Litsch, Chapter BK; Betty Apple, Chapter FJ; and Janie Fitzgerald, Chapter GS.

Students receiving the scholarships were: Kayla Hill, Walters; Samantha Crone, Duncan; Abbey Smith, Duncan; Aley Baecker, Marlow; Nicole Balthrop, Terral; Desirae Thiel, Duncan; Abbi Attebery, Duncan; Alejandra Diaz, Duncan; and Angela Kenedy, Duncan.
